i can hover: late nights tales 2

sometimes i wonder if i love certain bands ‘cos (i think) i feel the same way… this made my heart sink (for a reason or two): “me i mainly just try and get a laugh but then that has always been both my default setting and my problem.”

icanhover:

chicago! what a town! that’s what you might expect someone to say in a broadway musical just before they burst into a song and dance routine. it is though. we shot the video for Lifening here tonight during the gig. i.e. we just filmed it during the set. not 100% it’ll be a full release to radio…

i can hover: ageism

there’s the thing. people aged 23-43 or so (and older, too, but like won’t mix 18 and 58 okay), their age cannot be guessed. i mean, someone can look 23 and be 37 and the other way around. it’s one of the reasons i like being in that age zone… because age doesn’t matter anymore. and never will. older, better. :)

icanhover:

to the guy last night i guesstimated from the stage he was aged 33 when in fact he was 23 i apologise. was very embarrassing. in my defence it was dark in the crowd and he was a full head and shoulders taller than everyone else in the room. still, a decade out!? hmmm…. the crowd seemed to be on…

i can hover: snow and snow patrol

omg. just can’t believe there are people like that out there. i mean, okay sure i can believe it. but still. there must have been a lot of complaining if it pushed gary to write this. by all means, serves them right to miss a gig now and then ‘cos they obviously need a reality check. it’s not all about them. and snow is normal. esp if one likes snow patrol. :)

So the tour is a few weeks old and the shows have been great. Every crowd so far has been excellent and we’ve had a ball. Last night in Birmingham was a superb and joyous occasion. Hearing some people couldn’t make it because of the weather is sad though. We of course can’t legislate for freak…

Live life fully while you’re here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You’re going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don’t try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.

We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams.

For just one second, look at your life and see how perfect it is. Stop looking for the next secret door that is going to lead you to your real life. Stop waiting. This is it: there’s nothing else. It’s here, and you’d better decide to enjoy it or you’re going to be miserable wherever you go, for the rest of your life, forever.
